Safety
Creating a corridor of life
Culminating in the introduction of the relevant legislation in 2019. Concession motorways have prepared instructional videos and regularly promote the creation of a corridor of life.
Maintaining adequate distances between vehicles
In our experience, failure to maintain an adequate distance from the preceding vehicle is the cause of many traffic incidents as well as other dangerous situations, so we are calling for legal solutions to regulate precisely the required distances between vehicles on high-speed roads taking into account the permitted speeds and traffic characteristics.
Overtaking in the right lane
We draw attention to the need to take action to adopt legal solutions prohibiting overtaking on motorways on the right. Such a record would be consistent with the functioning obligation to drive as close as possible to the right edge of the road, which should prevent the use of high-speed lanes outside the overtaking period. Overtaking the right lane on motorways is not a common phenomenon, but very dangerous - often the driver driving in the left lane does not expect to be overtaken on the right side changes the lane and drives into the path of the overtaking vehicle. Given the high speed of vehicles, the consequences of such incidents are serious.
Behaviour of travellers in the event of a vehicle breakdown
We recognize the need to make road users aware of the dangers of being in or in the immediate vicinity of vehicles immobilized as a result of a breakdown. We initiate and run educational campaigns in this regard, e.g. Stick to the rules.
Setting up advertising boards along international roads
The content of large-scale advertising can distract drivers from the road, with a view to the safety of motorway users, we are calling for legislative action to regulate the rules on large-scale advertising
Driving "against the traffic"
We believe that the use of additional markings not currently provided by law - within motorway junctions and Passenger Service Points would contribute to eliminating the unintended use of the motorway in an unauthorized direction. Such solutions exist in most European countries. We call for action to be taken to adopt legal solutions to allow the installation of markings to prevent vehicles from entering dual carriageways in the wrong direction.
Removing vehicles left in the emergency lane
We call for action to be taken to adopt legal solutions to remove vehicles left in the emergency lane as soon as possible; in our opinion, this period should not exceed a few hours after the motorway services have identified the problem.
